I became introduced to the works of Studio Ghibli when I saw "Kiki's Delivery Service" back in 1998 (when Disney put it on video). Since then, I've seen most, if not all, of the Ghibli movies and I haven't really been disappointed by any of them (maybe except for "The Cat Returns"). But I definitely am a fan of their work, and think they deserve to be well recognized around the world.

I also enjoy watching all of their movies dubbed. Crucify me if you will, but I think all the dubs Disney has done are excellent. Phil Hartman as Jiji, Mark Hamill as Muska, Patrick Stewart as Yupa, Cloris Leachman as Dola, Billy Crystal as Calcifer = sheer awesomeness.

As for the argument of watching them only in Japanese, that's a seriously overrated one. While I do agree that it is interesting to watch these movies in their native language, Miyazaki personally approved the dubbing of ALL his movies by Disney, and I just can't connect with them in a language I don't understand. Furthermore, I'm baffled that there are some people who think Disney's done a subpar job with them, when in fact none of them are bad in any way. (OK, maybe there are some eccentric vocal choices, but they still pass IMO.)
